Before you start

  • Inspect the machine for leaks, damage, and loose parts. Check the bucket is secured.
  • Clear people and obstacles from your practice area. Begin on firm, level ground.
  • Sit down, fasten the seat belt, and pull the seat bar down. Keep the joysticks in neutral, enter the start code on the keypad, and start the engine as shown at handoff.
  • The joysticks are set to the standard ISO pattern described below. Leave the pattern switch where we set it.

New to the controls, or unsure about your terrain? Call us before moving. This reference supports your walkthrough and the full operating instructions; it is not a substitute for them.

Practice with an empty bucket, carry it low, and keep people away. Tracks do not make an uncertain slope safe. Ask us before working on unfamiliar terrain.

When you pause or finish

Park on firm, level ground. Lower the bucket flat on the ground, idle down, and stop the engine. Raise the seat bar, which sets the parking brake and locks the controls, before you unbuckle and climb out.

Quick answers

It starts, but the controls do not respond.

Stay seated with your belt fastened and the seat bar all the way down, then press the Press to Operate Loader button as shown at handoff. The lift, tilt and drive only work with the seat bar down. If it still does not respond, call us. Never bypass an interlock.

Which fuel does it take?

Ultra-low-sulfur diesel, not gasoline. Return the tank full, or we charge the fuel used at market rate plus the $20 refueling fee.

Can I use this guide for the brush cutter or breaker?

This page covers the loader with a bucket. Powered attachments have different setup and operating requirements. Call us for an attachment-specific walkthrough before using one.

What if a warning light or unfamiliar alarm appears?

Pause work and call 760-454-7943 with a photo of the display. Do not guess at a fault or regeneration procedure.

When should I have the equipment ready?

Use the return date and time in your booking confirmation. Use Request an extension on this page before that time to check availability and pricing online.
