Deposit & Payment

For advance bookings, the deposit is 50% of the quoted total, rounded up to the next whole dollar. Same-day rentals are paid in full at booking. Online bookings accept cards; the remaining balance is automatically charged an hour before the rental starts. Arranged cash, Zelle, or Venmo bookings follow the payment terms on the agreement.

Rental Days & Multi-Day Pricing

Each rental day is 24 hours from your scheduled start. Any additional time starts another rental day. All appointment times are Pacific. Longer rentals use a tiered total: days 1 and 2 each add the daily rate, day 3 adds 90%, day 4 adds 70%, day 5 adds 50%, day 6 adds 40%, and day 7 onward each adds 30%. The exact total is shown before payment. Existing bookings keep their agreed price; extensions are quoted separately before approval.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund if cancelled 3 or more days before the rental start date. Cancellations within 3 days of the start date are non-refundable.

Delivery & Pickup

Delivery and pickup are free for track loader (skid steer) rentals within 30 minutes' drive of our Escondido yard, which covers most of North County San Diego: Escondido, San Marcos, Vista, Poway, Valley Center, Fallbrook and the surrounding communities. Beyond that the fee is $150 out to 45 minutes and $250 out to 60 minutes. We do not deliver past 60 minutes. The exact fee for your address is calculated and shown before you pay, never after. The tilt trailer is self-pickup from our Escondido yard.

Damage Waiver

A damage waiver is included with every rental and covers minor wear and tear. The renter is responsible for damage caused by misuse, negligence, or operating beyond rated capacity. The renter is responsible for returning equipment in the same condition it was delivered.

Identity Verification

We verify that the details on a booking are consistent before releasing equipment: that the phone and email work, that the card checks match, and that a driver's licence you upload matches the booking. This is identity verification only. We do not run criminal background or credit checks, and no decision is made automatically. See our privacy policy for what we keep.

Operator Requirements

The compact track loader requires a licensed driver or competent operator. Iron Coast Equipment is not responsible for injuries or property damage resulting from improper equipment operation. If you are unfamiliar with operating a track loader, please ask us about operator services.

Trailer Rental

A valid driver's license and vehicle capable of towing 14,000 lbs GVWR are required. The renter is responsible for securing the tow vehicle's ball hitch (2-5/16") and verifying trailer lights prior to departure.
